How To Reach Taj Mahal

These trains ply on a regular basis from many nearby cities. There are three railway stations in Agra namely: Agra Fort Railway station, Agra Cantt and Raja ki Mundi.

By Road

Agra is well connected to the rest of India by a wide network of roads. It is just 204 kms from the capital city - Delhi. After every hour regular bus leaves from Delhi Sarai Kale Khan Bus station for Agra. The main bus stands in Agra are Agra Fort and Idgah bus stand. Apart from that one can prefer going by their own car or you can also hire private cabs, coaches or even the personal buses and reach Agra in around 4-5 hours.

Local Transport Agra
After reaching Agra you also need local transport to reach Taj Mahal you can opt for taxis, autos-rickshaws or tongas. Bicycles are also available and can be hired on an hourly basis. The area around Taj Mahal, Agra is a pollution free zone and no diesel or petrol vehicles are allowed. Horse driven tongas, battery operated buses and rickshaws are common means of transport.
